This month we are spotlighting our outstanding nurse Tina Williams. Tina was born in Madisonville, KY in 1954. She has been an LPN since 1977. She has seen many changes in nursing since she graduated 40 years ago. Some good, some not so good, but always worthwhile. She loves her profession and she loves what she does. She is dedicated to her faith, her God, and her husband. She sings gospel music and took a chaplain class at her church in Madisonville. She enjoys singing to the residents here at Henderson Nursing and Rehab. Tina and her sister are the only ones left in her family and they are very close. Tina loves to read and write inspirational poetry. Tina loves to garden. Roses are her favorite. As shown in her picture, her favorite color is green showing off her Irish heritage. Tina and her husband feel very blessed. They have been married 15 years. 4 years ago her husband was diagnosed with cancer but he is doing very well now. She has 2 stepsons, 2 stepdaughters, and 6 step grandchildren. Tina has one spoiled 14 year old cat who is her only “child” at home. Tina has been at Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation for 7 years. She feels as though God guided her to HNR and says she will stay here until God says she can retire. She said she loves working at HNR and she loves her residents. She said she will continue to do God’s work here for as long as he tells her to. We love Tina’s caring and compassion she shows for her residents and the respect she shows to the staff. Thank you Tina for your years of service at HNR!
