February 2, 2018

Dear residents, families and employees,
We are off to a great start to 2018. I would like to thank everyone who came and celebrated the end of the year at our Employee Holiday Party. I hope everyone had a great time and was able to enjoy a night of games, food and prizes. A special thanks goes out to Thomason’s Barbeque for allowing us to use their banquet hall, as well as catering the event. Also, I would like to thank Song Bird entertainment for their DJ services. In addition to this, I would like to give a huge shout out to Ina Allen for helping decorate and shop for prizes. Not only this event, but all events at Henderson Nursing and Rehab never disappoint due to your creative knack for decorating and activities! If I haven’t already told you, you are truly the best Activities Director I’ve worked with. I appreciate all of your hard work! I hope everyone enjoyed all the awards and prizes, as you truly deserve them. You as well have been some of the best staff I have had the pleasure of working with in all my years of working in Long Term Care. You can really see the love you have for the residents through your work and attitudes. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but consistently every day I have come to work, all of the employees are happy, take direction well and genuinely try to do a good job. That has never gone unnoticed!
With that being said, I know most of you have been made aware that I am moving on to another building. I have accepted an administrator position in Fordsville, KY. As I have mentioned before, I grew up in Ohio County and am very familiar with the area. Although I am excited to get back to my roots, I leave with a very heavy heart. I will miss all the residents and my fellow coworkers. Thank you for welcoming me into your facility. Within my time here, I hope I made a positive difference. It is very bittersweet leaving Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation. This was my first building as an administrator and you truly have set the bar in my eyes. My expectations going into my next building will be very high as everyone always works very hard and is always so caring to the residents. All of the staff are very strong in their roles and I hope you continue grow stronger and stronger TOGETHER!
Again, thank you so much for your hospitality these last 6 months. It was great getting to know everyone. You have an amazing team, sometimes I don’t think you realize how great you really are!!! Please do not hesitate to reach out should you ever need anything. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your big family, it was truly a pleasure.
Best Wishes,
Lindsay Turner,
Administrator
